FAQ’s

A tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside the pneumatic tyres on various types of vehicles. TPMS report real-time tyre-pressure information to the driver of the vehicle, either via a gauge, a pictogram display, or a simple low-pressure warning light.

Manufacturers recommend servicing TPMS sensors every time the tyre bead is broken, e.g. whenever a tyre is repaired or replaced, in order for them to last their full lifetime of approximately 7 years.

Servicing extends the life of the sensor and avoids the unnecessary costs associated with replacement. This maintains the functionality of the sensor, which ultimately:

  • Saves money by increasing fuel economy
  • Improves vehicle performance, road handling and safety
  • Reduces premature tyre wear
  • Reduces the car’s C02 emissions
